Jeffery A. Green
Jeffery A. Green consults for Commonwealth Consulting Corporation. Previously, Jeff served as lead Professional Staff Member and Counsel for the Readiness Subcommittee of the House Armed Services Committee. His principal responsibilities were procurement policy, industrial base issues, defense trade policy, Buy American, readiness and readiness reporting systems, and all Department of Defense operations and maintenance related activities. Prior to his position with the committee, Jeff was Special Assistant to the Senior Counselor of the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) for Legislative Affairs. In addition, he was assigned to the Secretary of Defense’s Detainee Task Force in the Office of Secretary of Defense.
As a Major in the United States Air Force Reserve in the Secretary of Air Force’s Office of Legislative Liaison, Jeff serves as Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Chief, Programs and Legislation Division, Air Force Legislative Liaison. Prior to his current assignment, he was stationed at Homestead Air Force Base, Florida holding the positions of Officer in Charge, Command and Control; Special Assistant to the Wing Commander; and Wing Executive Officer.
During his five-years on active duty in the Air Force, he was as an ICBM Missile Combat Crew Commander and Standardization and Evaluation Officer. In addition, he held positions as Wing Flight Scheduler and Chief, Relocations and Employment at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas and as Executive Officer to the Combined Force Air Component Commander, Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia.
He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a Masters of Law in Government Procurement from the George Washington University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in both Florida and New Jersey. In addition, he earned a Masters of Education from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
